4. (1) The corporation shall have power to acquire, accept|| leases of purchase, take, hold and enjoy any lands, buildings messuages or tenements of what nature or kind soever and where soever situated in this Colony, and also to fuvest moneys upon mortgage of any lands, buildings, messages or tenements in this Colony or upon the mortgages, debentures, stocks, funds, share! or securities of any corporation dir company carrying on busines or having an office in this Colony and also to purchase and acquir goods and chattels of what nature or kind 'soever..
(2) The corporation shall further have power by deed unde its seal to grant, sell, coqtey, assign, surrender, exchang partition, yield up, mortgage, demise, reassigo, transfer or othe wise dispose of any lands, buildings, messuages, tenemente mortgages, debentures, stocks, securities, goods or chattels vests in the corporation on such terms as to the corporation may seet. fit.
G. All property, goods and chattels, and all rights which immediately before this Ordinance belonged to or vested in the members of the Society as such, or in any person in trust for on on behalf of such members, are hereby transferred to and vested in the corporation.
8. All deeds, documents and other instruments requiring the seal of the corporation shall be seated with its common sei in the presence of three officers of the corporation and shall at be signed by them and all instruments and documents requiring the signature of the corporation shall be signed by three officers of the corporation.
7. All matters of internal management shall be settled and carried out in accordance with the constitution.
8. Nothing in this Ordinance shall affect or be deemed to affect the rights of His Majesty the King, His Heirs and Successors or the rights of any body politic or corporate or of any other person except such as are mentioned in this Ordinance and those claiming by, from or under them.

An Ordinance to authorize the appropriation of a supple- mentary sum of eleven million five hundred and sixty-five thousand six hundred and ninety-nine dollars to defray the charges of the financial year ending 31st March, 1950.

WHEREAS it has become necessary to make further provision for the public service of the Colony for the financial year ending srat March, 1950, in addition to the charge upon the revenue of the Colony for the service of the said financial year already provided for.
Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof:
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Supplementary Short title,
