BUILDINGS ORDINANCE, 1935-
ORDER BY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 167 (1) of the Buildings Ordinance, 1935, the Governor in Council hereby orders and directs that section 121 of the said Ordinance shall apply to the New Territories and that in the application thereof the term "Building Authority" occurring therein shall be con- strued as if there were substituted therefor the term "District Officer of the District".

Explanatory Note.
The effect of the above Order is to make it an offence for any person to erect or maintain in the New Territories, any structure of wood, mats, palm leaves, thatch or other inflammable material without the written permission of the District Officer of the District. Any structura erected or maintained in contravention of the Order may upon summary conviction of the offender, he ordered by the magistrate to be removed,
