(3) Section 21 is amended by the insertion in the second line of paragraph (a) of subsection (1) after the words "engaged in the formation of the company" of the following-

() It shall be lawful for the Governor in Council to prescribe fees to be collected by the Director in respect of matters arising under this Ordinance and also in respect of any signature given or document issued in connection with the importation or exportation of any com- modity or facilitating proof of the com- position manufacture or origin of any commodity imported or to be imported, exported or to be exported, or given or issued in connection with the commercial purposes of any person or firm.

(2) Such fees shall be paid by means of stamps which shall be duly cancelled by the Director."

(1) Section 5 is amended-

(a) by the repeal of subsection (2); and (b) by the repeal of subsection (8).

(2) Section to is amended by the repeal of sub- section (1) and the substitution therefor of the following-

"(1) Documents chargeable with stamp duly shall be stamped in the method specified by regulations made under section 4 hereof: Provided that where so indicated in the third column of the Schedule the use of adhesive stamps shall be permitted in lieu of the method specified in such regulations."

(3) Section 12A. (3) Section 12A (as enacted by Ordinance No. 17 of 1940) is amended by the deletion in the first line of subsection (1) of the words "Colonial Secretary' and the substitution therefor of the following-
