(1) The Financial Secretary to move the following resolution ;~

Resolved pursuant to section ↳ of the Dutiable Commodities

Ordinance, 1931, that the regulations made under the sodd Ordinance relating to duty on table waters be amended as follows -

Amendmenit.

On page 1351 of Volume III of the Regulations of Hong Kong (1937 Edition), under the heading "Duty on table waters.", the figures and words "48 cents per gallon"' shall with effoot from Kdanight on 31st March, 1949, be substituted for the figures and words "24 centa por gallon",

(2) The Financial Secretary to move the following resolution 1-

Resolved that this Council approves the expenditure of $45,696,969

on the items in the Schedule of Expenditure under the Rehabilitation Loan in the Estimates of Revenue and Expenlibre for the year ending March 31st 1950; which sun shall be met from loan funds and shall be charged as an advance from the surplus fils of the Colony pending reimbursement from loan funds,

(3) The Attorney General to move the following resolution :-

WHEREAS section 4(3) of the Hotels Ordinance, 1949, provides that all regulations made by the Quartering Authority shall be submitted to the Governor, and shall not one into force until they have been approved by resolution of the Logislative Council.

AND WHEPHAS on the 18th day of March, 1949, the quartering Authority made certain amendments (hereinafter set forth) to the regulations in the Schedule to the said Ordinance.

AND THERE S the said amendments were duly submitted to the GOVEITIOT

AND WHEREAS the said amendments are not yet in force

NOW IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the following amendments mado

by the Quartering Authority to the regulations in the Schedule to the said Ordinance be approved :-
