(b) the scale of duty as aforesaid shall remain three per centum until a resolution shall have been passed by Legistative Council under sub-section (1) of section 6 of the Betting Duty Ordinance, 1931.

An Ordinance to consolidate and amend the law regulating the granting of pensions, gratuities and other allowances in respect of public service.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kung, with the advice
and consent of the Legislative Council thereof;
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Pensions Ordinance, Short title.

2. (1) In this Ordinance, unless the context otherwise Interpreta-
tion. requires, the following expressions have the meanings hereby respectively assigned to them, that is to say:-

(a) in respect of service in this Colony an office
