An Ordinance to change the style of the Registrar General of Births and Deaths and to make connected and consequential provision for a change in defuition and interpretation in cuactments affecting the duties of such office and instruments issued thereunder or referring to such office.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the adrice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof:
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Registrar General of short title. Births and Deaths (Change of Styla) Ordinance, 1949.
2. Whenever in any Ordinance, order of the Governor in change of Council, regulation, appointraent, minute, instrument, or document style of the term "Registrar General of Births and Deaths ocnars the Registrar same shall be read coustrued and take effect as if for such term Births and there were substituted the term "Registrar of Births and Deathe”. 3. Whenever in any of the enactments specified in the "Registrar Schedule hereto or in any order of the Governor in Council, regulation, appointment, minute, instrument or document taking construed us effect thereunder or having reference thereto the term "Registrar "Registrar" General" occurs the same shall be read and construed and take in cermin effect as if for such term there were substituted the term cacumen "Registrar"".
