An Ordinance further to amend the Public Health (Sanitation)

Ordinance, 1936.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof :

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Public Health Short die. (Sanitation) Amendment Ordinance, 1949, and shall be read as one with the Public Health (Sanitation) Ordinance, 1935, herein- Ordinance after referred to as the principal Ordinance.

principal Ordinance.

Section 3 of the principal Ordinance is hereby amended Amendment (a) by the repeal of the definition "Health Officer and by the substitution therefor of the following definition:--

'Health Officer includes the Deputy Director of Health Services, any medical officer appointed as a health officer by the Governor, any veterinary officer and any officer for the time being performing the duties of a health officer or veterinary officer.";

(b) by the insertion of the following definition immediately after the definition Offensive trade Here

"Officer of the Sanitary

Officer of the Sanitary Department includes any health officer, health inspector or overseer of the Department, Sanitary Department working under the direction of a health officer or health inspector for the purposes of this Ordinance.”
