An Ordinance to amend the Betting Duty Ordinance, 1931.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof;
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Betting Duty Short title. (Amendment) Ordinance, 1949, and shall be read as one with the Ordinance Batting Duty Ordinance, 1931, hereinafter referred to as the No. 40 of principal Ordinance.

1. The principal Ordinance is hereby amended by the repeal Repeal and of section 5 thereof and the substitution therefor of the following replacement section:-

No tickets, lists, receipts, or other substitutes Ordinance. for tickets recording the numbers of the chances allocated for any cash-sweep, totalizator or pari-mutuel may be made, priuted, issued, sold or offered for sale except by or on behalf of a club which has received the permission of the Commissioner of Police under this Ordinance."
