An Ordinance to provide for an additional type of birth certificate.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof;
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Births and Deaths Short title. Registration Ordinance, 1948, and shall be construed as one with
the Births and Deaths Registration Ordinance, 1934, and the Ordinance Births Registration (Special Registers) Ordinance, 1947.

2. (1) Any person shall, on payment of a fee of fifty cents Shortened and on furnishing the prescribed particulars, be entitled to obtain form of birth
certificate. from a registrar in the General Register Office, a certificate in the pos prescribed form of the birth of any person compiled from the Geo.6, records and registers in the custody of the Registrar General. (12)
(2) The power conferred by section 28 of the Birtha and Deaths Registration Ordinance, 1934, and by section 13 of the Births Registration (Special Registera) Ordinance, 1947,
on the Governor in Council to make regulations shall include power to make regulations prescribing the forms of certificate to be issued
