An Ordinance to amend the Landlord and Tenant Ordinance, 1947.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council therent, as follows;-me
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Landlord and Tenant Short title. (Amendment) Ordinance, 1948, and shall be read as one with the Landlord and Tenant Ordinance, 1047, bereinafter referred to as cydinance the principal Ordinance.

2. Paragraph (n) of section 2 of the principal Ordinance Amendment is hereby amended by deleting the full stop after the word of section a (1)
sub-tenant in line two thereof and by adding immediately after such word the words "and includes algo

3. Sub-section (1) of section 3 of the principal Ordinance Amendment
is hereby amended-
of section 3 of the
Ordicance.
(i) by deleting the words " apply to every premises principal except " in lines one and two thereof and by substituting therefor the words not apply to "*.

(ii) by inserting the word untenanted in paragraph (5) thereof; and
graph (7)
after the word
(iii) by substituting the following paragraph for para-
"(/) any lease or tenancy held directly from the Crown."
