9. There shall be paid in respect of any matter for which

a fee is proscribed under this Ordinance, the fees specified respectively in Part I of the Fifth Schedule.

10. Every person who having custody of the Special Itegister of Births or certified copies thereof, or of any part thereof, carelessly loses or injures the same or carelessly allows the same to be injured whilst in his keeping shall be deemed to have committed a breach of the provisions of this Ordinance and upon summary conviction shall be liable to a fine not exceeding one thousand dollars.

11. Every person who wilfully destroys or injures, or causes to be destroyed or injured, any such register or any part or certified copy of any part thereof, shall be guilty of felony, and shall be liable to imprisonment for any term not exceeding two years.

12. With regard to the correction of errors in the Special Register of Births, the following provisious shall bave effect :--

(i) un alteration in any such register shall be made except as authorised by this Ordinance;

(6) any clerical error which may be discovered in any such register shall, as soon as possible, be corrected by the Registrar General, who shall place his initials in the margin opposite the entry in which such error has been discovered;

(iii) an error of fact or substance in any such register may be corrected by entry in the margin (without any alteration of the original entry) by the Registrar General on payment of the prescribed fee and on production to him by the person requiring such error to be corrected of a declaration according to Form No. 1 in Part II of the Fifth Schedule, setting forth the nature of the error and the true facts of the case, and made by Form No. 1. two credible persons to the satisfaction of the Registrar General having knowledge of the truth of the case, and the Registrar General shall initial such marginal entry and shall add thereto the day and month and year when such correction iz made.

13. It shall be lawful for the Governor in Council to make regulations for the due carrying into effect of the provisions of this Ordinance, and to revoke, alter or add to the Schedules.
