An Ordinance to amend the Hong Kong Police Reserve
Ordinance, 1927.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:-
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Hong Kong Short Titīs.
Police Reserve Amendment Ordinance, 1946,
2. In this Ordinance "the Principal Ordinance'' taeans the Hong Kong Police Reserve Ordinance, 1987.

3. Notwithstanding the provisions of the Principal Cassation d Ordinance, save as hereinafter provided, any person who of the became a member of the Reserve prior to the 1st January, 1942, shall be deemed to have ceased to be a member of the Reserve after the 1st January, 1949.

4. Any person who has been or shall be enrolled as Re-eurol- a member of the Reserve subsequent to the 29th May, 1946 and who was previously a member of the Reserve (hereinafter referred to as a re-enrolled member) shall become or shall be deemed to have become a member thereof as from the date of his re-enrolment.
5. No pereca who is deemed to have ceased to be a Mollet from member of the Reserve under Section 3 of this Ordinance shall penaltion. be liable to any proceedings for the contravention of any pro- visions of the Principal Ordinance or of the Regulations made thereunder committed prior to the commencement of this Ordinance Provided always that this section does not apply to any re-enrolled member in respect of acts done or committed subsequent to the date of his re-enrolment.
