By Els Excellency Sir MARK ATIGHTSON TOUNG, Knight Grand Cross of
the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor and
Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong Kong and its Dependencies and Vice-

WHEREAS by Section 7 of the Urban Council (Transitional Provisions)
Ordinance, 1946 (Ordinance No.6 of 1946, it is provided that the said
Ordinance shall come into operation on such date as the Governor shall notify
by Proclamation as the commencement thereof.
NOW I, the Bald Sir MARK ATTCHISON TOUNG, do hereby PROCLAIM sind.
notify that the said Ordinance shall case into force and operation on the
25th day of May, 1946.
