PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by regulation 26 of the Regulations of the Hong Kong Naval Volunteer Force it is enacted that (without prejudice to any powers that may be exorcised by His Majesty or by His Majesty in Council or by the Governor or by the Governor in Council) the Governor may, in case of great national or local emergency or in case of actual or appre- hended invasion of or attack on the Colony, or in case of serious local disturbance or in ouse it may be desirable to take precautions against the possibility of serious local dis- turbance, by Proclamation call out the Hong Kong Naval Volunteer Force or any portion or members thereof for actual service :

AND WHERBAS it is also enacted by the aforesaid regula- tion that the period of such service shall continue as long as the Governor may consider necessary and shall end only by order of the Governor :

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Sir GEOFFRY ALEXANDER STAFFORD NORTHCOTE, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong Kong and its Dependencies and Vice-Admiral of the same, deeming that such calling out is necessary and shall be continued för the present, DO by this Proclamation CALL OUT all the members of the Hong Kong Naval Volunteer Force for actual service until my further order,
