PROCLAMATION.
1:
Governor.
WHEREAS by sa Order of His Majesty in Council bearing date the 21st December, 1997, a copy of which is contained in the Appendix to this Proclamation, it is provided, inter alia, that the said Order shall come into operation in this Colony on a day to be fixed by the Governor; NOW THEREFORE 1, Sir GEOFFRY ALESANDER STAFFORD NORTHCOTE, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George. Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong Kong and its Dependencies and Vice-Admiral of the same, do hereby PROCLAIM and APPOINT that the said Order shall come into operation on the Twenty-ninth day of April, 1938.
Given under my hand and the Public Seal of the Colony at Victoria, Hong Kong, this Twenty-fifth day of April, 1938,
