By His Excellency Sir FRANCIS HENRY MAY Kuight Commander of the Must Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George Governor and Commander- in-Chief of the Colony of Hongkong and its Dependencies and Vice-Admiral of the

Game:

Whereas by a notification dated the 7th day of December 1915 the Board of Trade acting on behalf of His Majesty and in pursuance of the powers reserved in the Procla- mations therein recited did revoke the licence granted on the 4th day of November 1914 relating to the payment of fees for obtaining the grant or renewal of Patents or for obtain- ing the registration or renewal of registration of Designs or Trade Marks in an enemy country or on behalf of an enemy and did thereby give and grant a licence relating to the same matters in the terms therein stated:

And whereas by Royal Proclamation relating to Trading with the Enemy dated the 8th day of October 1914 it was declared as follows :-

The power to grant licences on our behalf vested by paragraph 8 of the Trad

ing with the Enemy Proclamation No. 2 in a Secretary of State may be exercised in Canada India Australia and the Union of South Africa by the Governor-General and in any British Possession not included within the limits of Canada India Australia or South Africa by the Governor.": And whereas in pursuance of the powers conferred by the said Proclamations 1 acting on behalf of His Majesty by Proclamation dated the 5th day of February 1915 granted licence to the persons therein referred to to pay the fees therein more specifically mentioned:

Now therefore I Sir FRANCIS HENAY MAY Knight Commander of the Most Distin- guished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hongkong and its Dependencies and Vice-Admiral of the same acting on behalf of His Majesty and in pursuance of the powers reserved in the said Proclamations and all other powers thereunto me enabling do hereby revoke the said Proclamation dated the 5th day of February 1915 and do hereby give and graut liceuce :-

(1.) To all persons residing carrying on business or being in the Colony of

Hongkong to pay

(a.) on their own behalf or on behalf of any person or persons residing carrying on business or being in the Colony of Hong- kong; and
