By His Excellency Sir Frasers IENEY MAY, Knight Commander of the Most Distin- gulabed Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hongkong and its Dependencies and Vice- Admiral of the same.
I, Sir FRANCIS Henny Mar, K.C.M.G., Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hongkong and its Dependencies and Vice-Admiral of the same being satisfied thereof by information received by me do hereby proclaim that war has broken out between His Majesty and Austro-Hungary.
Given under my hand and the Public Seal of the Colony at Victoria, Hongkong, this 13th day of August, 1914.
