PROCLAMATION,

By His Excellency Sir MATTUR NATHAN, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hongkong and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same.

Wherens by Section 3 of the Chinese Passengers' Act, 1855, it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor of Hongkong by Proclamation, for the purposes of the said Act, among other things to declare what shall be deemed to be the duration of the voyage of any Chinese Passenger Ship :

Now, therefore, I, the said Sir MATTHEW NATHAN, under and by virtue of the powers couferred on me by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that, for the purpose of the aair Act, the voyage of any Chinese Passenger Ship from Hongkong or any port of China to Réunion shall be deemed to be a voyage of thirty-four days" lnration.

Given under my hand and the Public Seal of the Colony, at Victoria, Hongkong, this 20th day of October, 1905.
