30. The figure of $345,000.00 shown in the estimates for the current year for local passenger revenue was unduly high, as it was made before the effect of closing Shum Chun Casino could be ascertained. A revised figure, based on paragraph 33 of the Annual Report for 1936, would have been $259,000.00. The actual results obtained exceeded this latter figure by 14.83%, ascribable principally to improved economic conditions and in a lesser degree to the influx of refugees during the latter part of the year. The results obtained, as well as those for 1936, are given below:---
