MONEY ORDER OFFICE.
10. The combined totals of the year's transactions in Money Orders and British Postal Orders show an increase of about £14,784 as compared with the figures for 1935.

CHINESE DELIVERY SECTION.
12. During the year this branch handled 7,739,427 ordinary letters, 445,782 other articles and 2,574 postal Hong packets as against 7,649,315 ordinary letters, 448,955 other articles and 2,820 postal Hong packets in 1935.
13. The registered articles delivered amounted to 128,365 of which 43,961 were from the United States and Canada, and 84,404 from China and other countries showing a decrease of 5,769 as compared with 134,134 in 1935.
14. 5,099 insured letters were dealt with as against 5,639 in 1935. The total number of Chinese private boxes was 261 a decrease of 20 as compared with 281 in 1935.
(B) WIRELESS.
TRAFFIC.
15. The total paid traffic for the year was 362,856 messages of 3,742,864 words, a decrease of 43,495 messages and 312,019 words, as compared with the figures for 1935.
16. The decrease was due to the bad business conditions prevailing throughout the greater part of the year and to the steadiness of the exchange rate of the dollar.
17. The total unpaid traffic for the year was 53,056 messages of 1,971,506 words, an increase of 7,101 messages and 430,550 words as compared with the figures for 1935.

SERVICES.
19. Commercial radiotelegraph services are now in operation as follows:-
(1) British North Borneo, direct to Sandakan and thence to all offices, and to Sarawak, Brunei and Labuan.
(2) Dutch East Indies, direct to Malabar, thence to all offices and to Dutch Borneo, Australasia and Europe.
