25. The examination results were very good. 76 per cent of the examinees passed, and two students were awarded Government Scholarships at Wantsai School.
26. Inter-class Football and Ping-pong Competitions were held during the year, and aroused much keenness.
27. Un Long School.-On 31.8.36, Mr. Lee King Shum retired, and was succeeded as Headmaster by Mr. Lam Pak To. The maximum enrolment was 118 (128 last year) and the average attendance was 94 against 100 last year.
28. The school as a whole did well in the Annual Examination.
29. An alteration in the curriculum took place in September in order to change the school eventually into a Vernacular "Ko Siu" School. Instead of having a Class 8, a "Ko Siu I", adjusted to permit time for elementary English, is being substituted. In time to come the school will have two "Ko Siu" classes only.
30. Cheung Chau School.-Headmaster, Mr. Cheung King Pak, B.A. Maximum enrolment 61 (64 last year). Average attendance 55 (59 last year).
31. The examination results were very good, 88% of the boys examined passed.
32. There was an improvement in the health of the school. Cases of malarial fever were not so common as in previous years.
33. Great keenness is shown in games and swimming. Inter-house games have taken the place of inter-class games.
34. Ellis Kadoorie Indian School.-On 26.6.36, Mr. A. T. Hamilton proceeded on leave prior to retirement and his place as Headmaster was taken by Mr. A. White. Maximum enrolment 200 (185 in 1935). The average attendance was 187 (169 last year).
35. 64% of the boys who sat for the Class 4 Examination passed, and 80% of the boys in Classes 5-9 gained promotion.
36. Four past pupils matriculated and two entered the University of Hong Kong.
37. Cricket continues to be the favourite game at this school and several inter-school matches were played.
38. Belilios Public School.-Headmistress, Mrs. P. P. Stark. Maximum enrolment 554 (an increase of 41 over last year). Average attendance 502.
