# ANNEXE BY THE COLONIAL VETERINARY SURGEON

## STAFF

1. The Colonial Veterinary Surgeon was on "Long Leave" from February 22nd until November 11th, during which time the Assistant Colonial Veterinary Surgeon, Capt. M. J. Reidy, was in charge. At Kennedy Town Senior Inspector Eccleshall went on "Long Leave" on November 7th and had not returned at the end of the year. He was relieved by Acting Senior Inspector Strange.

## GENERAL STATISTICS

2. There was no great change in the number of animals slaughtered.

3. The number of animals admitted to Kennedy Town and Ma Tau Kok Slaughter Houses is shown in Table XV.

4. The revenue $221,087.22 derived from Slaughter Houses was

5. The following goods were manufactured and exported to the Philippine Islands, United Kingdom, etc.:—

## CREMATORIUM

7. The following were destroyed, for which no charges were made:

27,087 lbs. of diseased meat (condemned carcases, etc.) and 449 animals.

Fuel used in Crematorium for 1936:

48 tons of coal. 10.2/3 gallons of kerosene. 4 gallons of kerosene emulsion.
