REPORT ON THE WORK OF THE CROWN LANDS & SURVEY DEPARTMENT, P.W.D., HONG KONG
FOR YEAR ENDING 31ST DECEMBER, 1985.
1. The Staff of this Department as authorized for the year ending 31st December, 1935, consisted of:- Superintendent of Crown Lands and Surveys, Assistant Superintendent of Crown Lands, Assistant Superintendent of Surveys, seven Land Surveyors, five* First Class Assistant Land Surveyors (Chinese), four† Second Class Assistant Land Surveyors (Chinese), twenty-one‡ Third Class Assistant Land Surveyors (Chinese), four§ Computers (Chinese), eighty-three Survey Coolies, one Chief Draughtsman, fifteen Draughtsmen (Chinese),
Senior Clerical and Accounting Staff Clerk, seven Junior Clerical Service Clerks (Chinese), seven Office Attendants and Messengers, two Senior Land Bailiffs and five Bailiffs.

2. As the Crown Lands & Surveys Department forms part of the Public Works Department and is accommodated in the same building, the charges for such items as light, heating, etc., cannot be stated. Omitting these items, the statement of costs is as follows:-
