38. Ellis Kadoorie School for Indians.-Headmaster, Mr. A. T. Hamilton. Maximum enrolment was 185.
The average attendance was 169 (166 last year).
39. In the annual examination in Class 4, 10 boys passed out of 11 and 2 Government Scholarships, 1 Woo Hay Tong Scholarship and 1 Ellis Kadoorie Scholarship were obtained. Of the total number of boys examined in the school 88% passed.
40. Cricket and Football matches have been played with other schools and a successful sports meeting was held.
41. Belilios Public School.-Headmistress, Mrs. P. Y. Stark. Maximum enrolment was 513. The average attendance was 449 (396 last year).
42. In the School Certificate Examination there were four passes; two distinctions were obtained. The results of internal examinations were most satisfactory.
43. Additional equipment in the gymnasium has given more scope to the Gymnasium mistress and great advantage was taken of it.
44. The pupils made a good showing in the Netball League and inter-class matches were played.
45. Junior Technical School.-Headmaster, Mr. G. White, B.Sc., A.M.I.Mech.E. The maximum enrolment was 121. The average attendance was 111 (76 last year).
46. Thirty-two boys were awarded certificates on leaving to commence apprenticeship. Of the second, first and preliminary years 90% passed.
47. The woodwork equipment was improved during the year by the addition of pattern-maker's tools.
48. Mr. J. S. Ferguson was appointed instructor in Pattern-making.
49. The newly equipped sports field should do much to raise the standard of athletics. The "Small Football" League Cup was won and the relay team was second in the Junior division of the Inter-Scholastic Sports.
50. Central British School.-Headmaster: 1.1.35 to 22.2.35, Mr. J. Ralston, M.A.; 23.2.35, Rev. G. E. S. Upsdell, M.A., H.C.F., C.I.E.E. Maximum enrolment was 270. Average attendance was 230 (207 last year).
