# ANNEXE BY THE COLONIAL VETERINARY SURGEON
## STAFF
1. Owing to shortage of Staff four of the Food Inspectors included in October, 1934 were transferred to general duties in June. Simultaneously the supervision of Special Food Licensed Premises, Offensive Trades, Food Preserving Establishments and Dairies and sampling duties were transferred to general staff.
## GENERAL STATISTICS
2. There was no great change in the number of animals slaughtered.
3. The number of animals admitted to Kennedy Town and Ma Tau Kok Slaughter Houses is shown in Table XVI.
4. The revenue derived from Slaughter Houses is $200,573.88.
## LARD FACTORIES
5. The following goods were manufactured and exported to the Philippine Islands, United Kingdom and Australia:-
Lard 3,905,552 lbs. Cracklings 191,467 Skins 141,405 Sausages and dried meat 94,7796. Raw material received into Lard Factories:-

7. The following were destroyed for which no charges were made:
29,210½ lbs. of diseased meat (condemned carcases, etc.) and 621 animals.
Fuel used in Crematorium for 1935:-
46 tons of coal.
75 gallons of kerosene.
11 gallons of kerosene emulsion.
