32. Transport of the sick is carried out by motor ambulances garaged at the fire stations and controlled by the Police and Fire Department. Hand ambulances are operated by the Sanitary Department.

DispensaryIn the New Territories there is a well-equipped motor travelling dispensary which visits those villages which are on the road and which are situated at a distance from the institutions listed above. Each village is visited three times a week. Cases requiring in-patient treatment in hospital are sent to the Kowloon Hospital by motor ambulance.
