63. Stores Depreciation :-The adjustment of stores values and reconditioning of old stores have been met from this vote, amounting to $29,781.66.
The following sums were credited to this vote:-$5,269.43 being rebate on Freight Charges in connection with stores purchased in England through the Crown Agents: $24,499.09 being the value of Stores returned which had been issued prior to 1934.
The result showed a net expenditure on this vote of $13.14.

64. Boundary Stones:-To define the boundaries of 741 lots 2,920 stones were placed in position.

66. Bathing Places:-No structures were erected by Government at Kennedy Town or Repulse Bay. Repulse Bay Beach was opened to the public on 1st May and closed on 5th November.
A contract for the construction of four caretakers' quarters with cookhouse and latrine, three at Repulse Bay and one at Stanley, was awarded to Messrs. Cheong Kee in October. By the end of the year, the three sets of quarters at Repulse Bay were nearing completion.

KOWLOON.
67. Maintenance of Buildings:-Government buildings were kept in a good state of repair. Painting, colourwashing and repairs in accordance with the recurring programme were carried out to twenty-nine buildings. Major repairs included the following:-Police Training School-repaired fencing and stairs, Central British School-alterations and repairs, Tsim Tsa Tsui Police Station-repaired verandahs and fencing and renewed seats, Mong Kok Fire Station-renewed concrete floors, Ma Tau Kok Slaughter House-general repairs, Green Island Depot-renewed pathways, Mong Kok Police Station-renewed verandah roofing, Kowloon Hospital-renewed verandah tiling, Blackhead Signal Station-general repairs.
Repairs due to white ant damage were carried out to the following buildings:-Tsim Tsa Tsui Police Station, Green Island Depot, Ma Tau Kok Slaughter House, Police Training School, Green Island Signal Station, Kowloon Disinfecting Station, Kowloon Magistracy, Royal Observatory.
