217. Hangar.-In order to provide a fire service to the new hangar at Kai Tak some 4,750 feet of 6" wrought iron piping were laid along the water front at the Aerodrome and connected up with the 12″ main in Sam Tak Road.
The hangar was wired for electric light and power; total number of points-131. One 15 line switchboard and ten telephones were installed.

VEHICLES FERRY PIER SCHEME.
218. This work was referred to in paragraph 299 of last year's Report. On the Hong Kong side, the work of constructing the reclamation and reinforced concrete ferry berths was completed at the end of the year except for the construction of the motor house and roofing over the waiting areas on the inner berth on the east side of the pier. On the Kowloon side, the original scheme was increased to provide an additional berth. The reclamation and berthage of the enlarged scheme was completed at the end of the year. The machinery and steelwork for making contact between ship and shore were supplied by the Crown Agents and arrived in the Colony in November. Except for the unfinished berth on the Hong Kong side the work of erecting this gear was completed by the end of the year.
Jubilee Street Ferry Pier was wired for electric lights, fans and lift or hoist, but not completed.
Jordan Road Ferry Pier was wired for electric lights and power, but not completed.
