Acknowledgements.-Acknowledgements are here made to the Directors of the Weather Services of the Far East, the Chinese Maritime Customs, and the Commanders of all ships for the observations forwarded during the year, to the Telegraph Companies for continuing to forward observations free or at reduced rates, to all institutions and individuals who have contributed to the Library, and to the Observatory staff for the efficient performance of their duties during a year of many departmental changes.
