260. Un Long Nullahs and Improvements. The work comprised the construction of the foundations and a section of nullah wall to support a turfed slope with a 10 feet wide roadway at the top. The contract was awarded to Messrs. Hop Hing & Son on the 15th September, 1931 for a sum of $4,769.50. The work was satisfactorily completed on the 21st December, 1931.

261. Tai Po Land Office, European Lavatory and Small Store. This work consisted of the erection of a small building in brickwork with a flat concrete roof. The contract was let to Messrs. Cheung Lee & Co. in October for $1,700.
Work was commenced shortly after and satisfactorily completed in December.

262. Arms Grilles for New Territories Police Stations. This work consisted of the construction of grilled enclosures in the Charge Rooms of the following Police Stations: Castle Peak, Ping Shan, Au Tau, Tai Po, Sheung Shui, Sha Tin, Sha Tau Kok, Lok Ma Chau and Sai Kung. A contract was let in May to Messrs. Hop Shing & Co. for $1,917 and the work was satisfactorily completed in July.

WATER WORKS.
263. Improvements to Fanling Water Works. Owing to increased consumption, the original 3″ supply main has become inadequate to meet the demands of the Fanling District, and it was decided to duplicate the main from the intake to the Golf Club House.
264. During the year 6,900 feet of W. I. Pipe has been laid, a considerable length of which was recovered from the original Golf Club supply main.

265. Demolition of "The Eyrie". The work of demolition was carried out by the Lam Construction Co., in March, and a credit of $410.00 was received from them for old materials.
266. Barker Road Improvements from Stubbs Road to Victoria Hospital. This work was referred to in paragraph 133 of Report for 1929 and paragraph 125 of last year's Report. The work was completed on 21st of November, 1930, and the final accounts settled this year.
