EXAMINATION FOR WIRELESS OPERATORS.
During the year 28 candidates were examined for Certificates of Proficiency in Wireless Telegraphy, 25 of whom successfully passed the examination and 3 failed.
TRANSFER OF WIRELESS FROM P.W.D.
On May 1st the whole of the Traffic Staff consisting of 71 members was transferred from the control of the Electrical Engineer, Public Works Department to the Postmaster General with the Traffic Superintendent in Charge. Under the new arrangement the Radio Office is responsible for wireless administration and licensing in addition to traffic and operating staff, and the Public Works Department for the installation, erection and maintenance of wireless plant.
