7. The Patent registration was very small. Under the new Ordinance of 1925, only re-registration of letters patent already granted in the United Kingdom is carried out here, no new patents being issued locally. This has resulted in a considerable diminution of revenue from this source, as compared with that derived under the old Ordinance.
