74. Maintenance of Chinese Cemeteries.-The work carried out under this heading has been alluded to in paragraph 32 of this Report.
Estimates, $1,000.00 Expenditure, $945.2675. Maintenance of Recreation Grounds. The various grounds were maintained in good condition. Departmental gangs were employed for the purpose of mowing grass, cleansing ditches, etc.

76. Maintenance of Buildings.-The deferred programme of works for the maintenance of Government Buildings was carried out, and a good state of repair was maintained.
