171. Miscellaneous Works.-The following were the principal works carried out under this heading:-
(a). Gap Rock Lighthouse.-Erection of a new Gib for fog signalling purposes.
(b). Cheung Chau Police Station.-Sinking and steening a well for the water supply of the station.
(c). Anti-Malarial measures at Taipo.-Work on draining swamps, cutting trenches, laying cement concrete channels and filling potholes was carried out during the year, at a cost of $382.97.
