From 19th July to 7th August 1926 House Cleansing Operations were suspended and the staff were employed in clearing up and removing debris and silt deposited by the heavy typhoon rains on night of 18th and 19th July 1926.

Districts Nos. 3, 5, 2, 6, 6a & 7a, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 17 and Shaukiwan were cleansed twice, Nos. 1, 1a & 2a, 4, 7, 12, 14, 15 and 16 were cleansed three times and Aberdeen four times.
