253. Bathing Facilities.-As in former years, these were provided at Kennedy Town, North Point, and Stonecutters Island, but with a reduced capacity in accommodation. As a result of the abnormal conditions then prevailing in the Colony the attendance was very poor.
At Repulse Bay four attendants were stationed and three rafts provided.
The cost, inclusive of watchmen's, caretakers' and shroffs' wages, etc., amounted to $9,117.24, and was defrayed from Miscellaneous Services Vote, Class I, item 10.
254. Upkeep of Government Garages,-Wanchai Depôt.-A new covered surface drain has been laid along the whole length of the open shed. The electric lighting has been generally improved, and the existing yard enclosed with an unclimable fence.
All Garages have been maintained in a good state of repair.

256. Upkeep of Motor Lorries. Of the original lorries five were overhauled and repainted.
The new ones which were delivered during the year were subject to recurrent inspection, the necessary minor repairs and replacements being made as required.
