(b.) Matauchung, training and diverting main stream-course. This work was referred to in paragraphs 174 (c) of the Report for 1923 and 182 (c) of that for last year.
Good progress was made during the year. Excavation and piling for the foundations were completed and 400 lineal feet of walling was built and the concrete invert laid.
The circular culvert portion was also constructed for a length of 300 feet.

(d) General Works.-The extension of the nullah Northwest of K.I.L. 1150 in culvert form to Kowloon City Road referred to in paragraph 182 (e) of last year's Report was completed. To combat mosquito breeding, a considerable amount of trenching was carried out in Kowloon, South of Boundary Street, between the Railway and Kowloon City.
