brick kilns at Mok Fu, the Police were fired upon by 4 Strikers who had crossed over into British Territory. The Detective obtained a re-inforcement from Ta Ku Ling Police Station and the fire was then returned. The Strikers retreated back into Chinese Territory. A patrol of 4 Wei Hai Wei Constables had been sent out from Sheung Shui on receipt of the news of the attack on the ricksha. These were subsequently fired upon by a party of about 15 strikers, who were posted on a hill between Man Kam To and San Uk Ling (Chinese Territory). The Police returned the fire, and the Strikers fled. There were no known casualties.
At about 11 a.m. on 3rd December 2 platoons of the 5/2 Punjab Regt., which were on a route march along the Ta Ku Ling-Sheung Shui Frontier Road were fired upon by a party of Strikers near the Man Kam To Ferry on the Chinese side of the river. A number of shots were exchanged, and resulted in several casualties to the Strikers. A body of Chinese soldiers arrived on the scene about 1.30 p.m. and the officer in command dispersed the Strikers.
At 11.35 a.m. on 9th December Detective C. C. 228 Chan Hing was making enquiries in a shop at Sha Tau Kok about the Strikers, when he was deliberately fired upon by a notorious character named Wong Chan Wa. The bullet fortunately glanced off the Detective's revolver, and his assailant made his escape into the Chinese portion of the village.
At 6 p.m. on 16th December a Police Picquet in charge of L. S. 175 Clarke had 3 shots fired at them when opposite Lo Fong on the Sheung Shui-Ta Ku Ling Frontier Road. It was too dark to reply, and the firers could not be seen.
At about 8 a.m. on 28th December 2 Chinese women from Chinese Territory were held up and robbed by 4 men in British Territory near the Sham Chun river at a spot about a mile away from the village of Lin Tong (Chinese Territory). The robbers then made off into Chinese Territory, but were chased back across the frontier by the villagers of Lin Tong. The villagers of Lin Ma Hang (B. T.) and Heung Un (B. T.) joined in the chase and captured 3 of the robbers, the fourth escaping. One of the captured robbers, while being conducted to Sha Tau Kok Police Station, broke from his guards. He was fired upon and shot dead by the latter. One of the 3 robbers was a Chinese soldier belonging to the 3rd Regiment, 1st Brigade, 3rd Division of the Canton Independent Army. It is probable that the other three were members of the disbanded Strike Picquets. A Picquet badge was found in possession of one of the prisoners.

Sub Inspector Brennan was commended by His Excellency the Governor and Detective C. 191 Ng Sze by the Capt. Supt. of Police and granted a reward of $300.00, for the smart capture of a notorious armed robber and pirate at Siu Tan Village on 4.12.24. At the Criminal Sessions held on 18.12.24 the prisoner
