The Diaphone fog signal was sounded for 343 hours 29 minutes for fog, and 33 hours 34 minutes for testing purposes.
On no occasion was the relief delayed.
GREEN ISLAND LIGHTHOUSE AND SIGNAL STATION.
27. During 1925, 1,406 vessels were signalled and reported. 12 vessels were not reported owing to telephonic communication being interrupted.
314 messages were sent and 12 were received.
28. The number of Aga lights (including Green Island) is now 17 and have worked accurately and satisfactorily throughout the year.
29. The Beckwith Bell was in operation from 1st January to 31st May and worked satisfactorily.
KAP SING LIGHTHOUSE.
30. This station has been regularly inspected and has worked satisfactorily throughout the year.
SIGNAL STATIONS.
31. At the Peak Signal Station 2,203 vessels were signalled and reported. The gun signal denoting the arrival of Mail Steamers was fired 60 times.
At the Signal Hill Station, Kowloon, 3,727 vessels were signalled and reported as entering and 2,421 as leaving the harbour. 93 Typhoon and non-local signals and 1 gale signal were hoisted.
