159. Kowloon Hospital. --This work was referred to in paragraph 160 of last year's Report.
Progress on the preparation of the site was slower than during 1925 owing to rock being encountered and, as a result, the buildings were somewhat delayed, especially the Native Block.
By the end of the year, the Administration and Kitchen Blocks, the Sisters', Medical Officers' and Servants' Quarters were practically completed except the tiling and fittings.

161. Police Station, Mongkoktsui.--This work was referred to in paragraph 162 of last year's Report.
The sum included in the Estimates was for the payment of the Retention Money but as payment was effected in December, 1923, there was consequently no expenditure to be recorded.
162. Mutaukok Slaughter House, Inspectors' Quarters.—This work was referred to in paragraph 163 of last year's Report.
These quarters provide a Dining and Living Rooms, with a Pantry, amah's and wash rooms on the ground floor; on the 1st floor there are 3 bed-rooms with 2 bath-rooms. At the rear in a detached building are located the Kitchen and Servants' Quarters.
A contract for the above was let in April to Messrs. Yee Lee & Co.
