The overflow level from the 24th June to 21st November. quantity of water remaining in the reservoir at the end of the year amounted to 285.06 million gallons.
The analyses made by the Government Analyst and the examinations carried out by the Bacteriologist were satisfactory.
The various buildings were kept in a good state of repair during the year.
There were 1,042 meters in use at the close of the year, an increase of 170 as compared with 1923.
House services were constructed, altered or repaired in 402 instances, and 160 supplies were laid on for building purposes.
82. Water Account.—The number of meters examined and repaired during the year amounted to 395.
The following is a statement of expenditure under the vote:

83. Maintenance of Buildings.—The buildings generally were kept in a good state of repair, a number of them being renovated and generally repaired in accordance with the recurring programme.
The total expenditure amounted to $26,178.32.
84. Improvement to Buildings.—The main items of work carried out under this heading comprised the following:
Covering the cement concrete flat roofs to verandahs at the Tai Po Land Office with "Malthoid"; improvements and alterations to the Servants Quarters and Kitchen, and erection of a shed for dead box at Lok Ma Chau Police Station; provision and fitting of mosquito gauze to windows at Tsun Wan Police Station; drainage and earth work at the rear of the Police Station at Sai Kung; brick lining to well at ...
