The total quantity of water supplied during the year amounted to 3,171.96 million gallons filtered, and 42.40 million gallons unfiltered, making a grand total of 3,214.36 million gallons or 657.52 million gallons more than during 1923.

The average consumption of filtered water per head per day for all purposes throughout the year amounted to about 22.6 gallons. In arriving at this figure the population has been estimated at 382,680 (1921 Census figures).

The analyses made by the Government Analyst show that the water was of good quality throughout the year, and the results obtained by bacteriological examination were also satisfactory.

The quantity of water pumped to the High Level District of the City amounted to 166.91 million gallons, equal to an average daily consumption of about 456,000 gallons, whilst 71.79 million gallons were pumped to the Hill District, giving an average daily consumption of 196,000 gallons. As compared with 1923, there was an increase of 8.65 million gallons pumped to the High Level District and an increase of 8.54 million gallons to the Hill District.
