5. Sales by Auction.-10 lots were sold in Hongkong, 8 in Kowloon, and 9 in New Kowloon, which realized $155,712.00, $399,936.00 and $90,062.00 respectively.

The District Officer (South) sold 25 small lots which realized $14,896.00 and the District Officer (North) sold 172 lots which realized $76,310.00.

6. Sales without Auction.-32 lots were sold under this head- ing in Hongkong and realized $377,458.23. In Kowloon, 2 lots were sold and realized $78,187.50 and 3 lots were sold in the New Territories which realized $3,429 53. The balance of instal- ments of premium in respect of K.I. L. 1461 amounting to $328,436.10 (including $9,566.10 interest) was paid during the

year.

The District Officer (South) sold 58 lots which realized $994.00.

The District Officer (North) sold 225 lots which realized $8,186.00.

7. Ertensions granted.-The extensions granted in Hongkong comprised additional areas to Inland Lots. Nos. 2289, 2348, 2349, 2350, 2351, 76, 2366, 1547, 2138, 2354, 2381, 704, 2269, 794 Sec. B, 2346, 2218, 1954, 1910, 1935, 773 Sec. A, and 1690; Marine Lot No. 321; Rural Building Lots Nos. 177, 165, 195, 213, 175, 205, 172, 215, 199, and 247.

Shaukiwan Inland Lots Nos. 483, 484, 491 & 490; Garden Lot No. 59, Aberdeen Inland Lot No. 57, and Aplichau Inland Lots Nos. 44 & 47.

In Kowloon, extensions were granted to Kowloon Inland Lots Nos. 1409, 1094 & 1292 and Hunghom Inland Lot No. 256.

In New Kowloon and the New Territories, extensions were granted to. New Kowloon Inland Lots Nos. 218, 340, 193 & 194 and Cheung Chau Inland Lots Nos. 20 & 15. The District Officer (North) at Taipo granted extensions to 12 lots.

The District Officer (South) granted extensions to 22 lots.
