KOWLOON.
160. Kowloon Hospital.-This work was referred to in paragraph 142 of last year's Report.
Good progress was made with the cutting and levelling, 230,000 cubic yards being removed; by the end of the year all building sites, with the exception of the ward area, had been made available for building upon.
A Contract for the buildings amounting to $505,228.80 was let to Messrs. Foo Loong & Co. in February. The Medical Officer's Quarters and other buildings were commenced as the sites became available. By the end of December, the brick framework of the Medical Officer's Quarters and the Coolie Quarters were completed, and the Main Block of the Hospital, and Sisters Quarters were in hand.

161. New Police Station, Yaumati.-This building was described in paragraph 143 of last year's Report. In addition to the accommodation therein mentioned, a further block of outbuildings was commenced in August to provide for a four-car garage, confiscated goods store, cattle pound, &c. The plans were also amended to form a larger compound for parade purposes.
The work proceeded without delay during the year, the main block being completed in November and the outbuildings in December.

162. Police Station, Mongkoktsui.-This work was referred to
