Thirty Government Launches received coal or oil fuel as required during the year. 7,345 tons of coal was received into the Depôt and 7,153 tons issued to launches. 13,068 gallons of oil fuel was received and 12,440 gallons issued to motor launches.
2. Government Slipway Yaumati.
Eighteen Government launches were slipped, aggregating 118 times at regular intervals during the year and the slip was occupied 232 days.
3. Harbour Office Yaumati.
The number of licences issued shows an increase, the fees collected being $27,914.50 as compared with $23,483, in 1922.
Foreign Trading Junks proceeding to and from Sham Shui Po are now effectively controlled from the Yaumati Office by the Resident Junk Inspector, a comparison of the number of one voyage licences issued is as follow:--

A new harbour Office was opened on 1st August at this Station with a Junk Inspector in charge and the boat licensing was taken over entirely from the Police. The new Office is convenient and gives greater licensing facilities to the boat people and renders harbour regulations more effective.
Table C is the detail of licences issued and the fees collected which compared with 1922 shew an increase of $2,703.60 this year.
