imate Mileage 39.-The roads generally were maintained in a satisfactory manner.

Improvements were made on the Shaukiwan Road for a considerable length east of the main entrance to the Taikoo Shipyard by substituting for decomposed granite, macadam 3" thick, which was then tarred and sanded.
