3. The above figures show that 49 per cent of the total admissions to prison were Revenue Grade prisoners.

Of these 1 was sentenced to be whipped forthwith and discharged, and the remaining 13, in addition to whipping, received sentences varying from 24 hours detention to 5 months hard labour.
5. The percentage of convicted prisoners admitted to prison with previous convictions recorded against them was 12.6 as compared with 15.7 for 1917.
