The gross amount of Revenue collected on Duties on Tobacco during 1917 was as follows:-
Manufacturers' Licences. $ 1,008.00 Importers' Licences, 732.00 Retailers' Licences, 8,372.00 Licensed Warehouse Licences, 3,200.00 Duties on Tobacco,.... 496,104.66 Total, $ 509,416.66The Refund of Duties on Tobacco in the year 1917 amounted to $9,544.95. The total net Revenue collected from Tobacco Duties during the year 1917 was therefore $499,871.71.
