KENNEDY TOWN CREMATORIUM.
The carcases destroyed in the Crematorium for the year were:—
Cattle, 67
Sheep and goats, 37
Swine, 254
Horses, 40
Dogs and miscellaneous animals, 204
Condemned meat from the Slaughter House, 7,315 lb.
Besides the above, 69 cart loads of old papers, books and miscellaneous goods from Government Offices and private firms were destroyed.
Under Government Notification No. 31 of 1910 the following fees were collected :-
68 large animals at $2.00 each, $136.00
48 small animals at $0.50 each, $24.00
1 Army mule at $3.00, $3.00
Bone ash sold, $22.22
Refund for fuel used in destroying private papers, etc., $91.31
Total, $276.53
The amount of coal used was 36 tons, 1 cwt., 82 lb.
