GEOMETRY

1. In Class 5.--Sections A & D.

A. The definition of the angle, right angle, triangle, circle, radius, diameter, bisection, theorem, and problem. The meaning of the usual symbols and abbreviations. Discussion of the parts of a triangle.

B. The proof of the congruency of two triangles (Theorems 4 and 7).

C.--Problems 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 (Method 2), 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, and their Proofs.

D. A knowledge of the definition, appearance, and simple properties of the cube, cuboid, prism, cylinder, pyramid, cone, and sphere, aided by models.

2. Class 3 (Oxford Local Preliminary Standard).--In addition to the work of Class 4:--

Definitions, Theorems, and Problems in Parts I & II, Hall & Stevens' Geometry. Theorems 11, 12, 15, 18, 19, 22, 28, 29, and 30 should be omitted.
